2 Carat Lab-Grown Diamond Ring Price (2026)

By Lavora Diamonds, Provo, Utah. Updated October 2026.

How much does a 2 carat lab-grown diamond engagement ring cost?

Short answer: at Lavora Diamonds, a 2 carat lab-grown oval in a solid 14K gold solitaire is estimated at about $2,300 complete ($2,175–$2,425): IGI-certified center, setting, custom 3D render and production. A completed 2.00ct marquise bezel solitaire came to $2,149, and a completed 2.50ct E VS1 oval to $2,243. D–F color, VVS clarity, a hidden halo, pavé or platinum move the number up.

Do round, princess, radiant or marquise 2 carat rings cost more?

Shape changes the stone price, so other 2ct shapes are quoted on your specs. Complete engagement rings have a $2,000 minimum, and every lab-grown center is IGI-certified.

Every lab-grown center is IGI-certified, and our standard is VS1 clarity or better (D–F color and VVS clarity are available as upgrades). You see a 3D render first, often within 24–48 hours, for a $50 design fee that is fully refundable and credited to your ring, with unlimited revisions. Delivery takes 4–5 weeks after 3D approval and payment, and a $250 rush takes 2–3 weeks (14–21 days). Engraving is complimentary, US shipping is free and fully insured, and every ring comes with a Lifetime craftsmanship warranty, plus a free resize within 60 days.

FAQ

How much does a 2 carat lab-grown diamond engagement ring cost?

At Lavora Diamonds, a 2 carat lab-grown oval in a 14K gold solitaire is estimated at about $2,300 complete ($2,175–$2,425), including the IGI-certified center, setting, 3D render and production. A completed 2.00ct marquise bezel solitaire came to $2,149 and a completed 2.50ct E VS1 oval to $2,243.

Is a 2 carat lab-grown diamond IGI certified?

Every Lavora lab-grown center is IGI-certified, and the report number can be verified at igi.org.

How long does a 2 carat custom ring take?

4–5 weeks after 3D approval and payment, or 14–21 days with the $250 rush option.

Complete rings have a $2,000 minimum.

Why the estimate is a range

Carat is only the stone’s weight; the exact diamond, setting construction and included services all change the final quote, which is why our 2ct estimate is a range and your exact price comes with your 3D model.

At Lavora, every custom-ring recommendation is personal. Send a saved ring image or a comparable written quote and Lavora will return a recommendation and clear custom price by text. A call is not required to begin.

Why two 2 carat rings can have different prices

Part of the quote Details to compare
Center diamond Laboratory-grown origin, grading laboratory, report number, shape, exact carat weight, color, clarity, measurements, polish, symmetry and report comments.
Setting Metal and fineness, band width and thickness, prong style, side stones, hidden halo, gallery details and other custom work.
Included service 3D design work, resizing, shipping, return, warranty and payment terms, plus the event that starts the production timeline.

A headline price is useful only when those specifications match. If a quote omits the report number, measurements or setting details, ask for them before comparing totals.

Two carats is a weight, not a face-up size

GIA defines one carat as 200 milligrams and explains that carat measures weight rather than physical size. Two diamonds with the same carat weight are not necessarily equal, so color, clarity and cut still matter. Read GIA’s carat-weight guide.

For an oval, pear, emerald, marquise or other fancy shape, compare the exact millimeter measurements and proportions on the grading report instead of assuming every 2.00-carat stone will look the same on a finger.

IGI says its laboratory-grown diamond reports document laboratory-grown origin and quality characteristics. For center stones, reports can include shape, cutting style, measurements and 4Cs assessments; the report number can also be used to view the digital record. See IGI’s laboratory-grown diamond report guide.

Use this same-spec quote checklist

  • Is the center stone exactly 2.00 carats, or simply described as “2 carat”?
  • Does the quote identify the grading laboratory and report number?
  • What are the stone’s millimeter measurements, color, clarity, polish and symmetry?
  • What metal and fineness are included?
  • What are the band width, band thickness, prong style and 3D render details?
  • Are accent stones or a hidden halo included?
  • What does the written total include?
  • What are the resizing, shipping, return, warranty and payment terms?
  • What event starts the quoted production timeline?

One documented Lavora build

A completed Lavora ring used a 4.02-carat E/VVS2 IGI-graded oval lab-grown diamond in 14K yellow gold, with hidden blue and red birthstones. The recorded ring total was $3,349 and the recorded build timeline was 26 days. This is one completed example—not a universal price for a 2 carat ring—and it shows why the full specification matters more than carat weight alone. Review the specifications and dated build record.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 2 carat price fixed?

No. The about $2,300 design-desk estimate ($2,175–$2,425) is a starting range for a 2ct oval 14K solitaire; the exact written price depends on the diamond report, setting and included work.

Does a 2 carat lab-grown diamond look like a diamond?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, made of carbon just like mined diamonds. The origin is different, so the grading report should clearly identify the stone as laboratory-grown. Read GIA’s laboratory-grown diamond explanation.

Which 2 carat shape should I choose?

Choose from the look you want, then compare exact measurements and proportions—not carat weight alone. A photo of the stone, its report and the setting 3D render are more useful than a universal “looks biggest” rule.
