Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about our process, pricing, and quality.
Are lab-grown diamonds real?
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds — the difference is origin. Same brilliance, same durability, without the traditional markup.
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes. Every center stone is IGI-certified. Your ring arrives with the documentation, and you can verify any report number at igi.org.
How long does it take?
Most rings are completed in 3–4 weeks after CAD approval. Have a hard deadline? Tell us upfront — we’ll confirm what’s possible before you commit.
How does the process work?
Most clients start by texting us their dream ring or an existing quote. From there, we handle almost everything remotely — diamond selection, pricing, and CAD approval. Prefer a call? You can book one anytime. In-person consultations are also available by appointment in Provo, Utah.
How much does a custom ring cost?
Most fully custom rings land between $1,500 and $4,500 all-in — IGI-certified stone, setting, CAD design, and production included. Use the price estimator for shape-by-shape ranges.
How does pricing work?
Transparent pricing based on certified diamond specs and setting complexity. Most clients save 30–50% versus traditional jewelers for comparable specs — no showroom overhead, no commissioned sales floor.
Can you beat another jeweler’s quote?
Usually, yes. Send any written quote for a comparable ring — same certified stone specs and setting — and we’ll compare it line by line. If we can’t beat it on identical IGI specs, we pay you $200. Full terms here.
What if I don’t know her ring size?
No problem. We’ll share simple ways to estimate. Resizing is available — ask us about options when you’re ready.
Can I customize any design?
Yes. Band width, metal, setting height, side stones — all adjustable. You approve the final design in CAD before production begins.
What is CAD approval?
A detailed 3D render of your exact ring, created before anything is made. You review, revise, and confirm every detail — no surprises.
What is your return policy?
Custom engagement rings are made specifically for each client and are final sale. If something about the finished ring needs attention, contact us — we’ll review it and work with you to determine the appropriate solution. Every ring is also covered by our Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty.
What metals do you offer?
10k, 14k, and 18k Yellow, White, and Rose Gold — plus Platinum on request.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — every Lavora ring includes a lifetime craftsmanship warranty covering manufacturing defects, at no extra cost and with no registration required. Just email us with photos and we'll take care of it.
