Lavora’s custom-ring qualification floor is $2,000. A lower advertised price is not automatically a better value, and Lavora does not promise to beat every quote.
The useful answer
What makes two engagement-ring quotes comparable?
Two quotes are comparable only when they describe substantially the same center stone, report, measurements, metal, ring size, setting details, included services and timing. A lower number can reflect a different diamond, a lighter setting, omitted side stones, excluded taxes or shipping, or different after-sale terms.
Match the stone
Compare origin, shape, carat, face-up dimensions, color, clarity, cut details, fluorescence and the grading-report number.
Match the setting
Compare metal and karat, ring size, band width, profile, prongs, pavé or side stones, hidden details and the CAD scope.
Match the total
Confirm what the total includes: tax, shipping, insurance, resizing, maintenance, warranty remedies, return limits and the expected schedule.

What happens after you send a quote
1. Review by text
Send a screenshot, PDF, link or saved ring image. Lavora identifies what is known and what still needs confirmation.
2. Personal comparison
You receive a recommendation based on the whole design and a clear custom price. A call is optional, not required.
3. CAD approval
After you choose to proceed, the custom design is reviewed in CAD before production begins.
4. Production estimate
Current custom-ring timing is typically 3–4 weeks after payment and CAD approval. Stone availability, revisions and delivery needs can change that estimate.

Lavora custom rings are final sale once production begins. Manufacturing defects are covered. Normal wear, accidental damage and loss require separate paid service or insurance. Resizing and routine maintenance are quoted separately unless a complimentary service was already promised to that customer.
Other sellers may use different terms. Confirm the exact return window, resizing policy, warranty exclusions, insurance responsibility and production trigger before paying.

Can I send only a ring photo?
Yes. Send the saved image and any preferences you know. A written competing quote provides more fields to compare, but it is not required to start.
Does Lavora guarantee it will beat every quote?
No. Lavora compares the complete specification and provides a personal recommendation and custom price. The goal is a useful like-for-like comparison, not a universal price promise.
How do I verify an IGI report?
Use the report number on IGI’s official verification page and confirm it matches the stone described in the quote. A grading report describes the evaluated diamond; it does not by itself confirm the quality of the ring setting or the seller’s service terms.
When does the production estimate begin?
For Lavora custom rings, the current 3–4 week estimate begins after payment and CAD approval, not when an inspiration image is first sent.
